An Analysis of Iranian Tea Structure Reform Programme

Iranian Tea Structure Reform Programme towards privatization has many weaknesses, the most important of which are the inappropriate timing and procedure of the project. Along with the weaknesses, it has also some strengths, among which arranging suitable bank facilities for modernization of tea industry is more considerable. One of the opportunities expected from privatization was to improve quality of the product, which was not realized. As a result of this project, many farmers wish to leave their tea gardens and change their job, which is a very big threat for tea industry.
