چكيده لاتين :
Recovery of water-soluble constituents of Rose oil (Rosa damascena) using liquid-liquid extraction was investigated. At first, the amount and the composition of transfered components into the water phase were identified using GC MS analysis. The results showed that 2-phenylethanol was the major constituent. In order to perform the liquid-liquid extraction process, a bench-scale extractor of Oldshue-Rushton type with capacity of 270 lit/hr was designed and fabricated. With n-hexane as solvent, the perfomance of the extracton column was evaluated. At the selected procedure condition, extraction yield of 75% was obtained. The rose oil was investigated from quality point of view using GC-MS. Results showed that the recovery of valuable components of rose oil constituents has been carried out successfully.
