Electromagnetic band gap structure has great application in enhancing the performance and radiation parameters of antennas. The electromagnetic band gap materials (EBG) have effective role and impact on efficiency and downsizing of the microstrip structures. EBG provides the ability to prevent the propagation of waves in different modes, possible propagation and guiding in a certain direction. In this paper, by designing three-dimensional EBG cells loaded with valve coupling, dimensions are significantly reduced and the efficiency of the system also increases. In comparison to similar cases, this type of structure in addition to compactness and efficiency, covers higher bandwidth. Low height and waste, small structure and high efficiency are the attributes of the proposed antenna that has been studied and compared with the same techniques.
