Water demand in three irrigation systems in damaneh of Faridan

In this study, using linear programming technique, optimized cultivation pattern is determined farmers with low water, medium water and high water conditions separately for the Faridan city. Using this pattern and changing the water unit price, the farmersʹ water demands for agricultural units is estimated. According to the results, farmers with medium and low water would Improve their water resources more efficiently. through decreasing their potato cultivating lands and increasing their wheat and barley lands, The cultivation pattern for with farmers is not expected to change due to their access to sufficient water resources. Results also show that farmers with high water condition are not as sensitive to change in water price as those medium or low water conditions. So, with regard to the Limitations of water resources the country, application of a pricing policy for these resources to be necessary towards optimizing the utilization of these resources.
