A Survey on Subject Trends of LIS Journals in Iran (1968-1998)

The present research analyzes subject trends of published articles in Iibrary and information science journals (1968-1998) in general as well as for each titles and periods of publication separately. Findings of the research indicate the considerable decline in publishing articles during 1978-1987 and notable growth in the recent decade. Most subject trends of studied articles in the recent decade were on: information communication, storage and retrieval, and information and communication technology. The following subject trends show the impact of novel information technology on research activities in field of library and information science.
