A study on information needs of the experts of Tejarat Bank in Tehran

The subject of this research is to study the information needs of the experts of Tejarat Bank in Tehran that has been performed by using survey method. A questionnaire was used to analyze information needs of the considered population. Information analysis show that, tend to use Persian sources, abstracts of information resources, and both internal and external organizational information and information needs are the expertsʹ priority. On the other hand, one of the most important carriers for information access is printed materials. Also, research population are interested in getting information through personal books and studies. The aim of gaining information is also for promotion of job skill, increase of functionality, and progress in the work of the organization which will performable more through medium-term programs. Satisfaction range of the research population from accession to the information resources of the central library is at medium limit. Satisfaction range depends on accessibility to information at the possible minimum time. Personal attendance to the central library is the best way of using library resources from the experts point of view. In the end, the range of acquaintance of the research population with different kinds of information services is at medium limit; therefore, for more acquaintance with the subject studying related materials is preferable.
