Modern librarianship and its challenges

This article covers librarianship in Iran chronologically and studies itsʹ dignity in the past and present, and counts successes of modem librarianship in spite of itsʹ short age, and also from the experts point of view. In the end, the range of acquaintance of the research population with different kinds of information services is at medium limit; therefore, for more acquaintance with the subject studying related materials is preferable.
