چكيده لاتين :
After a review of several surveys on management education in librarianship, the author presents a report on the teaching of marketing and quality management courses in LIS schools in North America. The results indicate that marketing is taught in less than half of the participating schools, and quality management is a topic covered in core management courses rather than as a separate course. The perceived importance given to these courses in curriculum is low and this should be an area of concern. It reflects, however, a long-standing tension inherent in design of library and information studies training.
