Dar-al-fonoun

During the premiership period of Amir Kabir, the first modern school of Iran founded for educating science and technology under the name of "Dar-al-fonoun" that, the foundation of many scientific and technical fields in our country laid there. In this article after a brief review of ascents and descents of the life of Amir Kabir, attention will be paid to establishment, building, aims, and teachers of this school. Then for clear description, administration circumstances at school, regulations, study courses, installations, printing houses, and its different publications will be discussed.
