A proposed plan for creation of an information network for the libraries of the higher education centers of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture all around the Country

The aim of this study is to propose a plan for creation an information network for the libraries of the higher education centers of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture in order to use the existing resources, manpower, computing equipments and facilities effectively. This research uses a survey method and is a functional research. Information is collected through questionnaire and interview. Statistical population consists of 30 libraries of this institution all around the Country. This research has been conducted in two phases. First phase studies the present situation of the libraries from administration charts, manpower, resources, computing equipments and facilities, software and budget; and in second phase creation of an information network for improvement of the present situation of the libraries, and creating networked contact and mutual and continuous cooperation among them, and also resource sharing and expanding information dissemination current among the studied libraries in order to cope with the information needs of the users of these libraries has been proposed.
