A survey on school libraries situation (high school level) of Kohkilouye and Boyer Ahmad Province

In this research, condition of school libraries at high-school level in Kohkilouye and Boyer Ahmad is reviewed. Research population consists of all school libraries at high-school level province(283 libraries).Survey research method is used and information are collected through questionnaires which were distributed by education departments of any region among schools. Conclusions of this research are: lack of sufficient book and out-of-date collections, shortage of budget, shortage of professional librarians, unsuitable storage and reading space, shortage of equipments, lack of periodicals, shortage of audio-visual materials, shortage of reference books, lack of using information technology, and unsuitable working hour. At the end suggestions for improvement of school libraries of this province are offered.
