Pathology of the questions for master of library and information sciences entrance exam and its inadaptability with course units at bachelor degree of this field

This research takes proportions of the questions of "understanding and analyzing librarianship subject matter" at MLS entrance exam with professional courses offered at BLS level into consideration. Influence of factors like gender, field of study, average of grades, and place of study at BA or BS period on their acceptance in MLS entrance exam and library and information sciences faculty membersʹ points of view all over the country about the method of taking MLS entrance exam, subjects of exam, and proportion of questions have been considered in this study. Research conclusions indicate that: 1) There is no proportion existing between professional questions offered at MLS entrance exam and the courses offered at bachelor level of this field; 2) Bachelors in English language have been more successful at this exam comparing with other fields; 3) Average of grades and the university they have got their BA or BS have been an effective factor in their acceptance; 4) Faculty members have no positive view on recent method of taking this exam and its proportion with professional courses in this field.
