The Impact of Using Islamic Information Sources on CDs on Research Activities in Iran: Proposing Criteria for Improving Information Retrieval

The present paper is comprised of two parts. In the first section, through survey research methodology, the usage of Islamic information sources on CDs in research activities was analyzed. In the second part, the user interfaces (UI) of Islamic information sources on CDs, mostly developed in Iran, were evaluated in terms of their accordance with international standards on designing user interfaces. Using scoring list, each of the Islamic products on CDs as well as their user interfaces were ranked and compared to each other.
