A Study of Positive and Negative factors in Research Activities of Faculty Members of Academic Library Departments in Iran

The main aim of the study was determine the inhibitory and encouraging factors of the research activities of faculty members of library and information science departemenst in Iran. Data were collected using questionnaire. The results demonstrate a meaningful correlation between the scientific activities and the variables such as the university rank, educational experience and the academic level of the departments . The results also demostrated a meaningful difference between the attitude of two groups of the respondents ( the lecturers and researchers).
