Analysis of longitudinal ordered categorical responses in parallel clinical trial: A Bayesian appoach

Introduction: Longitudinal studies, especially with ordinal responses, has a special setting in medical sciences. In this studies, there is a correlation between observations of every subject. Therefore, the statistical methood must be entered this correlation in the model. Materials and Methods: Initially, we entered the correlation of evey observation of each subject in model via variance - covariance matrix and in application example, with selection priors distribution for evey parameter, w.e analysed data using Bayesiam approach. For comparison, also we analysed data by weighted least squares (WLS). Results: The result shows that estimate of parameters by Bayesian and WLS approaches have ignorable differences. Conclusion: Because of many advantages of bayesian approach, We recommended use of this method, even if we donʹt have informative priors for parameters.
