TRAUMATIC ANEURYSM OF PERICALLOSAL ARTERY A CASE REPORT AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

Backgrounds & Aims: Traumatic intracranial aneurysms are rare complications of head injury and represent less than 1% of all cerebral aneurysms. They most often are diagnosed acutely. Early identification and intervention to prevent bleeding or rebleeding is necessary. History: A case of a young man who developed a traumatic false aneurysm of the pericallosal artery after road-traffic accident is described. Fortunately, he managed successfully with a good outcome. Discussion: Cerebral angiography is recommended in head-injured patients with abnormal intracranial hemorrhages and can be useful in early diagnosis and treatment of such patients.
