Peripheral nerve injuries and repair principle

Although more than two decades has passed since the first peripheral nerve repair, unfortunately good result of peripheral nerve repair is still less than 50%. Seddan classification of nerve injury is still the best classification. in this article, we will review nerve degeneration, regeneration, technic of neurorraphy, material for repair of the nerve and how to evaluate the result of repair. At the end the result of neurorraphy will be discussed.
