Haft Peykar and Haft Akhtar

Zigourat was an ancient seven-storey house of worship and a symbol of the seven skies. In the Iranian culture, a reflection of this worship can be traced in Hegmataneh Seven Ramparts, and Seven Colored Domes in Nezamiʹs Haft Peykar. In Hegmataneh Seven Ramparts, the Zigourat seven storeys have turned to ramparts following each other horizontally and in Nezamiʹs Haft Peykar, they have turned to seven separate domes and palaces. This article is an attempt to show that the structure of Nezamiʹs Haft Peykar is a reflection of Zigourat.
