Literary texts and the criticisms of and comments on them form the greatest portion of the treasure of Persian literature. In this paper, the writer first sheds new light on certain lines from Saʹdiʹs Gulistan. Next the writer elaborates on an expression used by Hafiz in two of his sonnets.
