WOMEN IN PUBLIC SPHERE; A CASE STUDY OF WOMEN IN ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN

Womenʹs Presence in public sphere have constantly increased. During last century until now global expansion of human rights standards and its achievements along with impacts of decolonialism have intensified this attention. In the Middle East and North Africa, and in Iran too this process have been obviousely accelerated. Protection of womenʹs rights in a form of social movement with will of the states and people have been shaped in different forms. During recent hundered years womenʹs presence in public sphere in Iran have been expanded. After Islamic revolution and establishing Islamic political system in Iran, it has been formed a new discourse in the society about women situation and role in public sphere. In the last two decades, in the context of these great developments, women have increased their efforts to open the ways to progress and pave it in a better manner.
