A REVIEW OF REVOLUTION THEORIES IN ISLAMIC REVOLUTION AND ITS RELATIONS WITH ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN

Generally speaking, the creation of theories in social and political sciences are based on events and developments which have occurred in the past and this rule is also confirmed for theoreticians of revolutions, due to the fact that most of them have articulated the theories after studying great revolutions such as French, Russian and Chinese. One of the issues raised by the theoreticians is the question of conversion of revolution into a new political system after its victory which means that a revolutionary movement which topples down the old regime will be ended upon the creation of a new political system. In other words, the revolution itself will be converted to a political system. In this article, the writer tries, after reviewing the important theories and also a comparative analysis between Islamic Revolution and other great Revolutions, to prove that contrary to other revolutions, the Islamic Revolution, due to its distinguished merits and content, has not been converted to a political system but, while, has created a political system ruling in Iran, at the same time, has kept the condition and specification of a revolution and, relying upon three crucial elements of the revolution (leadership, people and ideology), still continues toward its global goals with the same strenght and contrary to the replaced political system of other revolutions has not become conservative and static.
