Wool production and fleece weight repeatability of one bumped camels in central desert of Iran

Wool production data of one humped camels at Research Station in Yazd province during 1377to 1379 were analyzed to estimate fleece weight repeatability. Fleece weight of 1-30 years old female camels (445 records) were available..The number of records per animal(K values ) was 3.24 and the least square means of wool production Was 736.1E 21.2 gr. Per year. The effect of age on wool production was not significant, but older camels produce more wool than younger one (1-5 years old camels) had 73 gr. wool mines than least square means of herds products and 15 years and older ones had 85 gr. above the mean. The effects of year on wool production was significant (p<0.01) and the least square means of wool production at some years were 30% lower than the herd product in total. Repeatability of wool production in the camels was 0.115(±0.05), which is quite low in comparing with coefficient of repeatability of records on this trait elsewhere.
