In order to study the genetic diversity in landraces of spring wheat from north-west of IRAN, 41 accessions provided by Karaj Seed Plant Improvement Institute and a control cultivar (Qods) were used as a lattice rectangular (6x7) in a randomized complete design at with two replication Agricultural Research Station of Ardabil, Islamic Azad University. Since the growth type in thirteen samples had winter type autumn growth, they did not produce stem, and the statistical analysis was carried out for 28 landraces and the control cultivar. Throughout the experiment, important characteristics of the yield and its components, agronomic and morphological characteristics were measured and the obtained data from these measurements were analyzed. For most of the characteristics, there were significant differences among genotypes, showing genetic diversity and prolific germplasms in tested materials. The genetic cv was also estimated to compare the rate of genetic diversity, and found that most genetic cv was related to seed weight in main spike. Considerable between-groups genetic variance was seen for some important characteristics in some accessions. This shows a potential ability to improve some samples through selecting pure lines. High heritability for number of seeds per spike and positive and significant correlation of harvest index with yields, rerealing that they can be used in selecting high yielding lines. The entries were carried out on the basis of characteristics and by using the UPGMA method, then were classified into three clusters. Local landrace 1(Urumieh, collection number 2749) was solely placed in the third cluster, which had higher values regarding the number of tilleres the length of main spike, number of seeds in main spike, 1000 seeds weight and yields compared with the total averages. So, those genotypes which have values more than that of the average, can be used for breeding programs.
