Inclined Side Weir Analysis Using Elementary Discharge Coefficient in Non-Prismatic Rectangular Channels

This study focuses on an experimental investigation of the effect of inclined crest of side weir on the discharge coefficient under subcritical flow conditions in prismatic and non-prismatic rectangular channels. In this study, 600 laboratory tests were conducted and discharge coefficients computed. A mathematical model was developed on the basis of elementary strip along the side weir length. Experimental results confirm that the developed model well explains the behavior of distributed flow over side weir.
