Reviewing and Costing of Erection and Construction Contracts in Shiraz Power Distribution Company

The main goal of this research is "reviewing and costing erection and construction projects in Shiraz power distribution company". The research hypothesis has been "in power distribution companies, current method for costing the erection and construction projects must be revised". To test the hypothesis 90 projects of erection and construction in Shiraz power company selected. The cost of each project calculated in two methods: traditional method and proposed method based on scientific principles of cost accounting and management. Then the results compared. The findings of the comparison between two methods reveal a significant difference between the traditional method with the proposed one. To determine the amount of this difference, "t" technique is used and differences of project costs are tested.
