Entrepreneur University, Higher Education and their Role in Making Employment

Change is one of the essential challenges for every country in the 21" century. Expansion of scope and range of changes and accelerating trend of changes in countries force them to cope with unanticipated, unfamiliar, and unique situations. Now countries can not guarantee their long term survival by subtle changes in methods, structure, technology, and so on. Therefore, countries must start a revolution in their managersʹ and employeesʹ minds in order to change the meaning of organization, work, quality, and competition in their minds, essentially. In this situation, the traditional role of manager will not be effective any more. Today, some entrepreneurs are needed who can rejuvenate the economy and resolve the unemployment crises through creativity, innovation, diligence, self-confidence, and enduring ambiguity. Obviously, entrepreneur university could be seen as a strategic mean to this end. In entrepreneur university, traditional paradigm of education that has not changed for many years, transforms to modern paradigm. In the new paradigm, an entrepreneur university emphasis on developing science and expanding the scope of human knowledge, along with considering educational, research, and specialized consulting needs of the environment. These universities attempt to realize the capability of defining, formulating, and solving the isolated or combined problems, through creating the ability of creativity and intelligent thinking. In this way, these universities facilitate sustainable development of the country. Although unemployment is a complicated and multi-dimensional problem in Iran, a systemic approach and a holistic view to this problem along with strategic thinking about the entrepreneur university could draw a new perspective for solving the unemployment problem.
