The Prophets in Persia

The prophets has a prominent status in the history and beleifs of the semitic religions. In The Jewish and Christian scriptures, there are many references to the prophets. Also the holy Quran, in addition to speaking of prophets in general, refers to the names and identifications of some of them in particular. There are four tombs in Iran which are attributed to the Israelite prophets. In this article,we study the biography of these four prophets and their religious status. Moreover, there is provided some information about the geographical situation and history of their tombs.
