A Survey of Some Sources of "Hidayat al-muta `allimin-fi al-tibb"

A comparison between the Farsi text of Hidayat al-muta `allimin fi al-tibb by Akaweyni-e Bokari which is the oldest scientific Farsi prose with its Arabic sources would clarify some valuable points concerning Farsi prose in the 4th Hijri century and the influence of Arabic language on it. This essay makes such comparison between the said book and one of its most notable Arabic sources, i.e., al-Kunnas al-Sagir by Yuhanna ibn Sirabiyun.
