Subject Correlation among Farsi Dissertations and Journal Articles in the Field of Library and Information Science in Iran

Two types of LIS Scientific Production in Iran was categorized in thirteen subject classes to explore the similarities of their subject trends. Using bibliometrics and content analysis, their trends as well as their processes in time(1968-1999) was calculated and compared; and finally, using Pearsonʹs formula, subject correlation of articles and dissertations was measured. The research findings indicate thay 1)the trends are not the same in all thirteen subject classes; and 2)the subject correlation in dissertations and articles are very weak.
