Beyond Ambiguity

Language is one of the most important and beautiful phenomena in the world and is one of Godsʹ manifestations. Its investigation could reveal some mysteries of the world. One of the prominent figures in the Persian literature is Hafez who has skillfully used the delicacies of speech to manifest his ideas and points of view. In Hafezsʹ poetry, ambiguity plays an important role. The present paper has made an attempt to investigate this issue.
