This study was conducted to examine the relationship of job satisfaction with organizational citizenship behavior and job performance in Ahvaz factory workers. It was hypothesized that job satisfaction is correlated positively with citizenship behavior and job performance, and that the former correlation is higher than the latter one. The sample consisted of 400 factory workers of Ahvaz, who were selected according to the stratified random sampling method. JDI, OCB1, OCB2, and two measures of job performance were used to measure the variables under study. The data were analyzed using the simple correlation and multiple regression methods. The results indicate that job satisfaction and orgnizational citizenship behavior have a relatively high correlation (r1=.57), (r2=.54). Correlation coefficients between the five components of job satisfaction and the five components of each of the two measures of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB1, and OCB2) were between r=.13 and r=.61. Only 4 out of 72 correlation coefficients were not statistically significant. Stepwise multiple regression analyses yielded R1=.64 and R2=.60 between the five components of job satisfaction and the overall scores on the two measures of OCB1, and OCB2, respectively. In addition, the simple correlation coefficients between the job satisfaction and the two measures of job performance were r1=.14 and r2=.16. 7 out of 12 correlation coefficents between job satisfaction as a whole, and its five components, on the one hand, and the two measures of job performance were low but significant, of which the lowest was r=.09. The multiple correlation coefficients, using the stepwise regression analysis, between the components of job satisfaction and the two measures of job performance were R1=.35, and R2=.17.
