تحليل عاملي سوالهاي پرسشنامه بك BDI - 12 بر روي دانشجويان پسر دانشگاه شهيد چمران اهواز

The aim of this research has been to factor analyze the Beck Depressien Inventory (BDI-21). 196 Shahid Chamran male students living in Universetyʹs dormitory were randomly selected using a multi-phase method. The analysis of Beck (BDI-21) Inventory items showed that all of the items were significantly Correlate with the total score of the Inventory. Using the principal components version of factor analysis, five factors were extracted. The first factor accounted for the the greatest part of the variance of the above questionnare. In addition, Cronbach coeffcient (internal consistency) was .87 for the whole Inventory, while the split-half and test-retest (with 3-week interval) coefficients were .83 and .49 respectively. Also, a correlation coefficient of .60 was obtained between the Depressim Questionnaire and the D subscale of MMPI. Out of the total of 196 students 21 (10.7%) suffered from depression. The results of the study showed that Beck Depression Inventory can by used in psychological and therapeutic researches.
