Sohrab Sepehri : Travellers of the light

The comparison of the two long poems of "sedaye paye ab" and "salut au monde!" by Sohrab Sepehri and Walt Whitman demonstrates novel manifestations of their common spiritual and moral views. Although Whitmanʹs influence on Sepehriʹs work is quite evident, it goes far beyond mere duplication, and reflects more poetic innovations and delicacy. These two poems which are narration of their journeys, describe their external and internal experiences and observations, indicating companionship on the path of light, truth and unity.
