THE MIDDLE EAST SECURITY ENVIRONMENT AND IRIʹs DEFENSE POLICY

The security policy of states is shaped as a response to the military threats arising from their environments, not to mention that it can affect them. In fact, new emergencies occur in interactions between actor (state) and structure (security environment). This article studies Middle East security situation and possible scenarios for the future, by making a theoretical study of the interactions between the security environment and the defense security, presenting a few implications for our countryʹs defense policy by explaining threats arising from the environment.
