Parametric Study of the Effect of the Principal Penteration Variables on Crater Depth

Parametric study in penetration phenomena has captured the attention of many investigators in recent years. The real interest in parametric study in this article is determination of the importance of principal penetration variables on crater depth. Complexity as well as interdisciplinary characteristics of penetration problems hasforced inverstigators to rely heavily on experimentaldata. Therefore a parametric study which enables us to determine the effect of basic variables of penetration on crater depth is of paramount importance. In this article a parametric study s conducted using the modified Tate model. The results of the investigation covers the entire veloaty regime from low to hypervelocity and can easily be used for design purposes.
