Porosity Estimation Using Seismic Attributes

In this paper the relationship between porosity data achieved from well-log measurements and seismic attributes achieved from 2D seismic acquisition is being studied. To do this, at first seismic inversion is being applied on density and P wave sonic logs in well locations and Acoustic Impedance model along the seismic line is being produced. Then the seismic attributes which have greatest correlation coefficient with porosity, are chosen and together with Acoustic Impedance model, being used as input data of artificial neural network. The output of artificial neural network will be an estimation of porosity along the seismic line.
