چكيده لاتين :
ABSTRACT Heat transfer enhancement Technique as an applied technology that can he used to increase the efficiency of the heat transfer area. Applying this procedure increases the rate of heat transfer between hot and cold fluids. There are two goals for using this technique in heat exchanger network (HEN) retrofit: 1- Increasing the amount of heat recovery, in an existing network for fixed area. 2- Decreasing the area target in HEN retrofit, with assumption of fixed energy saving. In this article, Tehran Oil Refinery Preheat train is introduced. Then, the effect of application of tube inserts in exchangers to satisfy the above goals will he discussed. By installation of approprite tube insert in existing network, about 6% area reduction can be achieved. In term of energy saving the use of tube insert reduces the area target about 9%. This means the application of the technology can increase the economic potential in retrofit projects.
