اولين گزارش زنبورهاي RSYCHOPHAGUS OMNIVORUS )WALKER و CHOUIOIA CUNEA)YANG( پارازيتوييدهاي پروانه سفيد امريكايي درختان HYPHANTRIA CUNEA DRURY )LEP:ARCTIIDAE از ايران

American white webworm, was reported by M. Abbaei in summer 2002 from Gilan province (North of Iran) for the first time and is a quarantine pest (A2) of Islamic Republic of Iran. To investigate natural enemies of the pest in its geographical distribution, considerable population of pupae of the pest was collected from Rezvan shahre(Gilan) during September to November 2002, and kept under laboratory condition. From the pupae, two parasitoid wasps were collected and identified by Dr. Ebrahimi from National Plant Pests and Disease Research Institute. Alex Gomovsky from Ukrainian Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology confirmed the initiated identification as: Psychophagus omnivorus (Walker) (Pteromalidae) Chouioia cunea (Yang) (Eulophidac: Tetrastichinac) These two wasps were existed in most sampled pupae. In September and October most of pupae were parasitized by P. omnivorus while in November they were parasitized by C.canea. These wasps arc the most important natural enemies of the pest in the countries that are infested by H.cunea, and able to regulate pest population.
