A Study of Arabic Poems in Tarikh-e Jahangoshai-e Joveini (Volume I)

The title of my Masterʹs dissertation I prepared in 1976 (1355) read "A Translation of Arabic Poems and Phrases in Tarikh-e Jahangoshai-e Joveini" . Upon completion of the dissertation,a number of friends and colleagues interested in my interpretation of such poems, every now and then urged that I should have my manuscripts and notes published, though I failed to do so on certain grounds. However, in 1994 (1373) , when Dr. Ahmad Khatami from Shahid Beheshti University had his invaluable book "An Account of the Problems in Tarikh-e Jahangoshai-e Joveini" published, I no longer felt under obligation to publish my manuscripts and notes . Sometime ago when I was reviewing the works by the late Allameh Qazvini, the vast scope of his knowledge and his unbelievable mastery over the sciences and technology known at his era greatly encouraged me to organize the notes I had taken when studying Volume I of Tarikh-e Jahangoshai-e Joveini, in order to publish them on the occasion of Allameh Qazvinʹs 50th memorial . I hope it will shed light on the dark corners of the said book .
