بررسي آگاهي خانواده در مورد انواع سوء رفتار نسبت به زنان سالمند شهر تهران

Introduction: The elderly is a vulnerable group to abuse, and because of known effects of abuse to them, we accomplished a study to determined family perception about the types of old age abuse in Tehran. Method and materials: This is a cross sectional study. Sampling method was objectively centered from 90 elderly womenʹs Scores referring to clinics of Tehran educational hospitals. Data collecting instrument was a questionnaire, which was s completed from the investigatorʹs interview. Results: Data analysis showed that sample age between 33+-5 years old. 80% were married and 50% were senior daughters of the old women, 73% of samples stated neglect, 98.7% psychological abuse, and 95.3% reported legal transgression as abuse. All cases included indecent words, bad language, argument, deposing, rudeness, injuring and ignoring personal legalities as behavioral abuse. Conclusion: Regarding positive knowledge of family about types of abuse and because of important view of health in this group, we suggest complementary study to determine prevalence rate, itʹs reasons and also experimental investigation for determining international effects of abuse reduction.
