In this study, static aeroelesticity, divergence phonomena of the anaircraft, effective parameters on divergence and methods of prevention and delays have been experimentally and theoretically investigated In theoretical aspect, divergence of two and three dimensional wing models have been discussed and a code for computing the speed divergence is presented. The approach specified covers all of possible structural & geometrical features of a real wing. Exprimental evaluation of divergence has been the principal goal of this research. In this regard, two and three dimemsional wings have been modeled by linear springs. The wings were so designed to allow changes of their center of mass, flexural axes as well as flexural & torsional stiffnesses.
Maximum speed limitation has been considered in the wing design. The influence of various parameters on the divergence has been investigated. The required geometrical & structural parameters of the models have been obtained through experimental methods and available codes. The results obtained from wind tunnel models agree with the theoretical investigation.
