بررسي وجود آنتي بادي بر ضد ويروس هپاتيت A در دانش آموزان سوم راهنمايي شهر يزد

Hepatitis A ,a viral disease, is spread by the faeco-oral route. A specific serological test for hepatitis A is the simplest and most economical method of establishing the diagnosis. Hepatitis A 10/1 is detectable in serum for 45-60 days after the onset of symptoms. Titres of anti-HAV in IgG rise with convalescence and the antibody usually persists for many years.Recovery from infection is associated with lifelong immunity In this cross-sectional study, Anti-HAV from IgG class against Hepatitis A virus was examined by ELISA method among 226 students which included 113 males and 113 females from Yazd Guide school. Variables such as sex, age, parent occupation, parent education , economic status were proposed. Results showed that the mean age of individuals was 14.17 years , and 18 (8 male and 10 female) out of the total 226 did not have IgG against the virus and therefore considered as non-immune . There was no significant correlation between sex, parent occupation. parent education , immunity and Hepatitis . In conclusion, hepatitis A infection usually occurs in the low age group in Yazd and administration of normal serum immunoglobulins for preventing HAV infection in adults older than 14 years is not recommended .
