The Survey on the Cointegration Relationship between Economic Growth and Income Distribution in Iran

This article discusses the theorical and empirical relationship between economic income distribution and growth in Iran (1968-2002).In this process we first study Kuznets hypothesis for effect of economic growth in income distribution and then to study the effect of income distribution in economic growth which can be classified channels: of saving rate, political economy, social unrest and credit market imperfection. Finally, we try to find empirical relationship by useing the cointegration models. The results of this paper show a positive cointegration relationship between two variables and fail of Kuznets hypothesis in Iran.
