A Short Comparison Between Khajeh Abd-Allah-i- Ansariʹs Tafsir and Meibodiʹs Kashf-al-Asrar

Khajeh Abd-Allah-i-Ansariʹs Tafsir(lnterpretation) is his most valuable work the complete text of which is, so far, non-existent. Only parts of this text may be recovered by consulting some references. Kashf-al-Asrar and uddah-al-Abrar of Meibodi, the great mystic and interpreter of the late fifth and early sixth centuries (A.H.) contains parts of this text. This article has a quick glance at this part of Meibodiʹs book, that is, all those passages directly quoted from Ansariʹs or those sections stated in such a way one may ascertain them as Ansariʹs. This study reveals that Meibodi has brought only a modest part of Ansariʹs book in Kashf-al-Asrar and there he calls his source "Ansariʹs book on the interpretation of the Quoran", that is, Tafsir, a fact which suggests that Ansariʹs book must not have had a name different from Tafsir.
