چكيده لاتين :
Since a large amounts of grape pomace is annually produced in grape juice and grape concentrate production plants, we have considered the recovery of the tartrate contents of grape pomace. In this research, extracted tartrates from pressed pomace, have converted to calciumʹ tartrate and then to tartaric acid.
In order to extract the tartrates, "Acid Process" have been used. The most important stage of this process is the clarification of extracted tartrate solution. An innovative method has been practiced for removal of impurities and suspended particles. In this method, some chemicals such as gelatin and bentonite have been used and reasonable results have been gained.
The tartrates of clarified solution have been precipitated as calcium tartrate and then reacted with sulfuric acid to form tartaric acid solution. This solution is concentrated to obtain L(+)-tartaric acid crystals. The purity of crystals are 99%.
