The Role of Foreign Exchange in Iranʹs Non-Oil Exports Development

This paper tries firstly to survey the relationship between non-oil exports and real foreign exchange rate, secondly to introduce determining factors of real foreign exchange rate as one of the most important variables that are very effective on non-oil exports and lastly to offer necessary solutions for adjusting it with the aim of developing non-oil exports. Generally, the results of this paper show that there is a positive and significant relationship between non-oil exports and real foreign exchange rate. Hence, taking suitable exchange rate policies oriented for adjusting real foreign exchange could improve non-oil exports which in turn could play a crucial role in increasing future production capacity and materializing economic growth.
