Estimating the Employments Generating Effect of Tourism in FARS Province: Static Model for Regional Input -- Output Analysis

In this paper, using Leontief (demand - side) input - output technique, we analyzed the effects of tourism expenditures and also the omission of final and total demand in tourism sector on employment in Fars province has beeb analysed. Total expenditures in tourist sector has been disintegrated by continent into American, Asian and European tourists to investigate the contribution of various foreign tourists on the employment. The results show that:1)Omission of final demand for tourist will reduce total employment by 29 percent. 2)Omission of both final and intermediate demands would reduces total employment by 39 percent. 3)Also, the corresponding employment multiplier for American, Asian and European tourists are 93,91 and 92 person, respectively.
