Aesthetic Performance in Gathas (scholarly/research)

The ancient Iranian hymns of Avesta have ritual, social and aesthetic dramas. They surpass the limits of ritual performances and reach the social and political ones and to do this they employ the elements of drama including acting, singing, speaking and even spectacle and costume and direct their "spect-actors" to a kind of cognition to change the social circumstances. A part of a hymn is compared with a part of Aeschylusʹ ʹPrometheus Bound" to show the dramatic power of these sacred texts, too.
