Translation and Comparative Literature

A Iot has been said about the role of translation in literature. Researchers involved in comparative literature are mostly interested in the relationship between the SL text and the its equivalent TL texts. They are skeptical about prescriptions issued on the basis of TL texts, and would rather study the SL text instead. This will be manifested in the two frameworks below: i- Writings on comparative literature ii- Conferences on comparative literature The present paper deals with the role of these two in translating and comparative literature.
