چكيده لاتين :
In this research , th e ultraviolet rad iation degradation
effect, as an environmental impact on the mechanical
properties of Glas s/Polyester composite s, is st udied. Varions
samples are manufactured using polyester resin and
exposed to ultraviolet radiation . In ord er to measure
t he residual strength of th e material, the samples are
exposed to ultraviolet radiation in th e t est chamber for
a time equal to three, six and twelve months of the real
life. Residual strength t ests are performed on th e radiated
and virgin samples in ord er to compare the st rengt h
of these two types of specimens .
After measuring th e mechani cal properties of the virgin
and radiated samples, the mechanical proper ties of
unidirectional and [0 /90]s cross-ply Glass /Polyester laminated
composite s are analyzed using Microm echanical
and Classical Lamination Plate theories. The resnlts of
th e analysis ar e evaluated by performing experiment s
on th e unidirectional and (O /90]s cross-ply Glass/
Poly est er laminated composit es. The results of exp eriments
show a conside rable loss in transverse stiffness and
shear st iffness of th e unidirectional and [0 /90]s cross-ply
Glass /Polyester composite s. The results of the experiments
also show that adding ultraviolet absorber additives
to th e polyest er resin prevents the mechanical
degr adation of th e resin under ultraviolet redaction very
well.
